Today, Bentley unveiled its vision of a more powerful and even more efficient future with the global debut of the Bentley Hybrid Concept at the Beijing International Automotive Show. The luxury car brand also presents three Chinese debuts at the Show – the new Flying Spur V8, the new Continental GT Speed and GT V8 S. The Bentley Hybrid Concept is based on the flagship model, the Mulsanne, showing that hybrid technology can enhance even the pinnacle of luxury and performance. Copper is used as an exterior and interior styling element to highlight the car’s electrical veins from accents to the radiator grille and headlamps to copper cross stitching throughout the car’s elegant leather cabin. Bentley’s plug-in hybrid system increases power by up to 25%, reduces emissions by 70% and gives a driving range of at least 50 km on electric power alone. Bentley Continental GT V8 S at the new show room in Qatar
Bentley Motors today unveiled the newest member of its Continental GT line-up - the Continental GT V8 S - for the first time in the Middle East. Revealed at the Qatar Motor Show (20-25 February), the new model builds on the V8 platform to deliver improved performance and a sleeker and sportier look and feel, and will officially go on sale across the region in April 2014. TRIO OF BRITISH DRIVERS TO RETURN BENTLEY TO THE TRACK
Three accomplished British sports car racers are spearheading Bentley’s return to competitive motorsport in the Continental GT3. The team compete together for the first time at the car’s first test race, the Gulf 12 Hours at the Yas Marina circuit in Abu Dhabi on 13th December 2013. Guy Smith, Steven Kane and Andy Meyrick will pilot the Continental GT3 in two six-hour races in Bentley’s first track-action since winning the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2003. Final preparations for the Continental GT3’s first race appearance are now under way following the completion of initial development work with an endurance test. Car and drivers all performed strongly and, reflecting the nature of the Continental GT road car on which it is based, the car continues its testing form of being both fast and extremely reliable. Francoforte 2013: Bentley Continental GT V8 S Coupé e Cabrio
Bentley svelerà, in occasione dell'imminente salone dell'auto di Francoforte, edizione 2013, la Continental GT V8 S Coupé e Convertible. Sotto il cofano il propulsore 4 litri biturbo è stato potenziato fino a 528 CV e 680 Nm di coppia massima e associato al cambio otto marce ZF con rapporti accorciati e modalità S. Il propulsore - riporta il comunicato stampa - vanta il sistema Start&Stop e la disattivazione di quattro degli otto cilindri ai carichi parziali. Inoltre, il consumo medio dichiarato è lo stesso del modello V8 da 507 CV, pari a 10,6 l/100 km (coupè) e 10,9 l/100 km (cabriolet). Le prestazioni, di contro, migliorano grazie alla potenza extra, infatti i 100 km/h da fermo si raggiungono in 4,3 secondi (per la versione coupé), con una velocità massima di 309 km/h. SUV Bentley: dal 2016 il diretto rivale del Lamborghini Urus
Primo sport utility nella storia di Bentley, sarà prodotto a Crewe (Cheshire), ad un ritmo che inizialmente dovrebbe aggirarsi sui 4.000 esemplari l’anno che si tradurranno in oltre 1000 nuovi posti di lavoro nel Regno Unito. Lo storico stabilimento britannico beneficerà anche di un investimento pari a £ 800 milioni di sterline per lo sviluppo di altri nuovi modelli. Volkswagen, Audi, Skoda, Seat e Bentley: le straodinarie cifre del 2011
Nonostante la situazione difficile e la volatilità dei mercati, nell’esercizio passato il Gruppo Volkswagen ha superato decisamente l’andamento del mercato, crescendo in tutte le principali regioni. Le consegne di vetture nuove sono arrivate a 8,3 milioni di unità, con un balzo del 14,7%, tagliando per la prima volta il traguardo degli 8 milioni. Grazie a queste straordinarie cifre, la quota di mercato del Gruppo Volkswagen a livello mondiale, nel settore delle autovetture destinate al trasporto passeggeri, è passata dall’11,3 al 12,3%. L’anno scorso tutti i Marchi del Gruppo hanno registrato un andamento decisamente positivo comportandosi, nella maggior parte dei casi, meglio del mercato. Bentley Continental GTC: a Francoforte la regale cabrio britannica
La nuova cabriolet britannica farà la sua apparizione ufficiale sullo stage del Salone Internazionale di Francoforte (15/25 settembre). La seconda generazione della Bentley Continental GTC, il cui listino europeo parte da 170.060 euro, è una quattro posti decappottabile con un potente motore W12 6.0 litri twin-turbo accoppiato ad una nuova trasmissione Quickshift che consente cambi di marcia più veloci che mai. La nuova potenza, nella versione GTC, sale così da 560 Cv a 575 Cv con un'ondata di coppia superiore di 50 Nm che arriva ora a 700 Nm. Una carrozzeria più scolpita e muscolosa, grazie principalemte all'allargamento delle carreggiate, e un abitacolo decisamente sontuoso, realizzato artigianalmente, completano le caratteristiche della regale cabrio britannica.
