McLaren Automotive is actively continuing its plan of expanding its retailer network by opening the latest showroom in Germany. Just three weeks after the sports car manufacturer’s 50th anniversary, the models of the British car maker will shine at Meilenwerk Stuttgart. The new showroom – the company’s fifth in Germany – will officially open on 26th September, further enhancing this German car metropolis with a very prominent marque.
This location could not reflect the McLaren brand more effectively: the exclusively designed showroom in the listed Böblingen airfield complex forms the ideal backdrop for the display of the entire range of high performance sports cars. Visitors can immediately immerse themselves in the fascinating and glorious racing history of this automotive manufacturer.
As with the McLaren retailer in Frankfurt, responsibility for the new Meilenwerk showroom rests with the Dörr Group. At the sharp end is Andrew Skey, from the UK, who has several years’ experience within the Group. With his expertise, he’ll be taking over the general management of McLaren Stuttgart. Rainer Dörr, owner of the Dörr Group, has been active in the automotive arena for over twenty years and heads a team of some ten specialists for the marque. The linked service division supports customers with experienced technicians from the sister site in Frankfurt.
Passion and performance fit perfectly together at Meilenwerk. As well as the McLaren 12C and 12C Spider, visitors can also see the McLaren P1™, which has already been received by media and the public with enthusiasm at its unveiling in Geneva. This is the first time the public in southern Germany will be able to see the car. The groundbreaking technology of the McLaren P1™ is unique, guaranteeing new levels of performance with a combined output of 916 PS and optimised aerodynamics.
Visitors are invited to find out more about the team and the fascinating cars at the open day, which is to be held on Saturday, 28th September.
This traditional sports car manufacturer, which was founded as a racing team by Bruce McLaren in 1963, is now a state-of-the-art car manufacturer, with countless Formula 1™ records under its belt. The opening of the retailer in Stuttgart represents not only progress, but also auspicious fortune. This is another highlight in the McLaren success story, which after 50 years is still far from over.
