The unique surroundings of the French Alps are the current inspiration, continuing the lifestyle project launched by Bugatti in September 2013. Slightly eccentric in tone but extremely refined, the Fall/Winter collection confirms the coherence with the brand’s DNA and its strong flamboyant character, which is the essence of the Bugatti man. Protagonists of the photographs are the precious overcoat with mink fur collar, the impeccably tailored velvet Blue Carpet Soirée tuxedo and the special Gentlemen Driver leather jacket inspired by the Bugatti Type 35, one of the brand’s most iconic sports cars from the 1920s and a special guest star in the photographs. These garments embody the heart of an exclusive, refined collection made entirely in Italy (Fabriqué en Italie) from the most prestigious materials. The flamboyant style and attitude of this sophisticated, anti-conventional and nonchalant man is interpreted by model and actor Andre Van Noord, the face of the EB – Ettore Bugatti … [Read more...]

Honda received the highest ratings among Mainstream brands, followed by Toyota and Volkswagen. Mercedes-Benz received the highest ratings among Premium brands, followed by Lexus and BMW. European automakers netted six of the top seven Premium brand spots. The mix was a bit more varied among Mainstream brands. While three of the top four spots were held by Japanese automakers (Honda, Toyota, Subaru), domestic brands GMC, Ford and Buick were all among the next tier. “When consumers buy a car, brand perception directly impacts how quickly the vehicle will depreciate,” said Larry Dominique, President of ALG and Executive Vice President at TrueCar. … [Read more...]

This breaks the current record of 115.36 that was set three years ago by Mark Higgins in a 2010 Subaru WRX STI. The run was completed in a U.S.-spec 2015 Subaru WRX STI. “It was quite a lap we did today and I am really happy to have another record in the bank. The chassis on this new car is so much better it really allowed me to pick up time in each sector in the more technical parts of the course,” Higgins said. “I think there is definitely time that we left on the course. I lost time on the second part of the track, overshooting my braking point at Sign Post corner. I actually hand-braked the turn in the end, so I feel we can definitely do better.” The car Higgins drove is a stock U.S.-spec 2015 WRX STI, with the exception of an FIA-spec roll-cage, racing … [Read more...]
